Avoid incorrectly opening, closing, leaking, and closing the valve. The operator must clearly understand the role of each valve and its position in the process pipeline to avoid misoperation, otherwise it may cause accidents such as running, mixing, and pressing. For example, if a certain oil refining equipment is steam purged before it starts, a vent valve leaks and closes after being purged. As a result, high temperature oil slurry at 370 ° C is discharged from the vent valve at the start of the operation, causing a fire, and the equipment is shut down.
When the low temperature is below 0 ℃, the deactivated valve should be anti-freeze first, and the bottom of the valve should be opened in time to drain the condensed water. Warm measures should be adopted for valves that cannot be cleaned and operated continuously.
For valves operating at high temperatures, when the temperature rises above 200 ° C, the bolts are heated and elongated, which will easily make the valve tight. If necessary, the bolts should be “hot-tightened”. When hot-tightened, it should not be performed in the fully closed position of the valve. So as not to cause the valve stem to die, it is difficult to open it again.
When a valve leaks, you should first identify the location and cause of the leak. Generally, there are two types of leaks and external leaks. External leakage is divided into packing leakage and valve cover, valve body leakage, and sealing surface or fabric information according to its external structure. Leakage, the operator should accurately judge, if they can solve it, they should deal with it in a timely manner, and if they can’t solve it, they should deal with it in a timely manner.
The valve packing gland should not be pressed too tightly. It is advisable to rotate the valve stem sensitively. Pressing too tightly will increase the friction of the valve stem and increase the operating torque. During valve operation, under normal circumstances, it is not possible to replace or add packing with pressure at will, otherwise, the risk of medium leakage will be caused.
