How are Vacuum Bellows Classified by Number of Layers?
There are two types of vacuum bellows hoses. One is a molded corrugated tube, which belongs to a flexible but incompressible vacuum hose, and the other is a flexible vacuum hose that can be bent and compressed. So how do we generally classify vacuum bellows according to the number of layers?
Vacuum bellows
The classification method of vacuum bellows by layer is as follows:
- The single-layer bellows uses a single-layer bellows for vacuum fittings for multi-vacuum fittings that are compensated for displacements under static load. Its production is simple and the cost is low. Under the premise of ensuring the required pressure capacity, compensation amount, stiffness and fatigue life of the design, the single-layer corrugated pipe should be preferred.
- Multi-layer bellows are used for alternating loads or more important pipelines, and more than two layers of multi-layer bellows are used. Compared with single layer, under the same bearing capacity, it has less rigidity and better fatigue resistance.
The classification method of vacuum bellows according to the number of layers is mainly the above points, and selecting the appropriate vacuum bellows is the most important.
