Techniques for Repeated Installation and Reuse of Card Sleeve Type Pipe Joints

- Saw a seamless steel pipe of appropriate length to remove burrs at the port. The end surface of the steel pipe should be perpendicular to the axis, and the angle tolerance should not be greater than 0.5 degrees. If the steel pipe needs to be bent, the length of the straight section from the end surface of the steel pipe to the bending part cannot be less than three times the length of the nut.
2. Put the nut and the card sleeve on the seamless steel pipe. Pay attention to the direction of nuts and ferrules, do not install them backwards.
3. Apply lubricating oil to the threads and ferrules of the pre-assembled joint body, insert the steel pipe into the joint body, (the steel pipe must be inserted to the end) and tighten the nut by hand.
4. Tighten the nut until the ferrule catches the steel pipe. This turning point can be felt by the increase of the tightening torque (pressure point).
5. After reaching the pressure point, tighten the nut 1/2 turn.
6. Disassemble the pre-assembled joint body and check the embedding of the edge of the ferrule. The visible protrusion must fill the space at the front of the ferrule. The ferrule can rotate slightly, but cannot move axially.
7. For final installation, apply lubricating oil to the thread of the joint body in actual installation, and tighten the nut with it until the perceived tightening force increases, and then tighten 1/2 turn to complete the installation.
Repeat the installation, all the card sleeve joints can be reinstalled multiple times, but to ensure that the parts are not damaged and clean:
1. Insert the steel pipe into the joint body until the ferrule is close to the taper surface of the joint body, and tighten the nut by hand.
2. Tighten the nut with a wrench until the tightening torque increases sharply, and then tighten 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
Inspection: The steel pipe can be removed to check whether the assembly meets the requirements: the steel pipe at the end of the ferrule should have a uniform slight protrusion. The ferrule cannot slide back and forth, but it is allowed to rotate slightly.
