Traditional roots vacuum pump seal structure and sealing method is relatively simple, in the drive shaft end is generally used framework oil seal, the rotor shaft end is used piston ring seal. The traditional sealing method has a bad sealing effect. The water vapor and process products in the cavity are easy to enter the oil tank through the sealing parts, which pollutes the lubricating oil. The lubricating oil needs to be changed frequently, and the failure rate of the vacuum pump is very high.
The new roots vacuum pump generally uses mechanical seal, or mechanical seal combined with a variety of seals, which can effectively prevent the process materials from entering the oil tank. Besides excellent sealing effect, mechanical seal has a long service life and wear resistance. The mechanical seal can effectively change the disadvantages of roots pump which is easy to leak oil.
