The repair of the vacuum pump shaft is a common processing and repair process, also called the straight shaft process, which is the current straightening of the permanent bending of the vacuum pump shaft. The bending of the vacuum pump rotor shaft core is caused by stress. When the stress is greater than the elastic limit of the vacuum pump rotor shaft core material, permanent bending deformation occurs. Therefore, the straight shaft is essentially through some methods, thought to create a stress in the bending part of the rotor shaft core to splash or offset its original stress.

There are many straight shaft methods. Vacuum pump maintenance tells you what are the common straight shaft methods.

Local heating direct axis method: prevent the raised part of the vacuum pump rotor upward, and perform local axial heating at the place where the curvature is greatest. In order to control the heating area, the shaft is usually wrapped with heat insulating material, and only a hole is made in the area where the heating is required according to the size of the heating part. The heating temperature should not exceed 500-550 degrees, and it should be controlled within the tempering temperature of the material, otherwise the shaft core of the vacuum pump will be overheated and the metal structure will change.

Mechanical Straight Shaft Method: It comes only after cold tapping with a twisting rod. Place the concave part of the maximum bending part of the vacuum pump rotor shaft upward, and support the convex part. The twisting rod is close to the concave part of the rotor shaft core of the vacuum pump, and the twisting rod is beaten with a hammer weighing 1-2Kg. Twisting should start from the center of the largest bend and move evenly along both sides of the circumference. The twisting length of each end face is one-third of the circumference.
